I am quite concerned by people who cannot mind a bucketful of their own bloody business when I am out talking to a friend, and honestly don't think that engaging such a person in conversation can remotely produce any positive outcome.

I cannot imagine that you could possible hope to convince someone this disturbed to even question their cult-like delusions.
