Socialism has a lot of degrees. Extreme forms are obviously problematic.
But representing all socialism like Venezuela is a straw man argument made more often than not in bad faith.
Let's just start by giving a minimum safety net for those who have been very unlucky and especially REAL equality of opportunity.
When statistically (and not anecdotically) the daughter of the poor and the son of the banker will have the same chances, we will start to have a society fair to all.
